A junction station where two single-track lines without overhead wires cross – from Toruń to Malbork and from Działdowo to Chojnice. In the western part three island platforms and the station building, in the eastern part the main tracks for freight trains and a group of tracks of the former freight yard. Passenger traffic is mostly railbuses; four mechanical signal boxes with colour-light signals, barriers of two level crossings operated by camera.
Railbuses Toruń Gł. – Malbork and Chojnice – Brodnica through the station with a stop, Toruń Gł. – Grudziądz terminating and starting at platforms II and III; once a day the TLK Gdynia Gł. – Katowice reverses here – the locomotive runs round its train; freight trains wait for crossings on group tracks 130 and 131.
